Originally from Dallas, Texas, Christopher has been performing for over eighteen years. He has been teaching privately for over six years, teaching a wide age range from middle school students to adult beginners. His students have advanced in solo competitions and made the Texas Music Educator’s Association All-State Band. He has held successful private studios in Austin, Dallas, Boulder, and Wilmington. Christopher has served as Lecturer of Trumpet in the Department of Continuing Education at the University of Colorado at Boulder, teaching private lessons to nonmajor trumpet students.
Christopher has performed solo recitals across the country in addition to performing with instrumental ensembles such as the Austin Symphony Orchestra, the Dallas Winds, the Chamber Orchestra of the Springs, the Longmont Symphony Orchestra, the Wilmington Symphonic Winds, and the Wilmington Symphony Orchestra. He has competed in the Graduate Solo Division semifinals, the Military Band Excerpts Division semifinals, and the Small and Large Ensemble Divisions at the National Trumpet Competition. In 2022, Christopher’s ensemble placed first in the Small Ensemble Division.
